Wouter 'T Hoen

Wouter 't Hoen, CIPP/E, CIPM, is currently serving as HR Legal Adviser at CERN since March 2023. Previously, Wouter held various roles at the World Health Organization from December 2009 to February 2023, including Legal Officer for HR Policy Coordination and Internal Justice, where significant contributions included implementing the WHO Disability Policy Action Plan and preparing for the Personal Data Protection Policy in Human Resources. Wouter has also served as Senior Legal Counsel and Data Protection Officer at T-Mobile, Senior Legal Adviser at the Ministerie van BZK, and Policy Adviser at the European Commission. Wouter's early career includes senior roles at Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat, Rijkswaterstaat, and Ministerie van Landbouw, Natuur en Voedselkwaliteit. Wouter holds an LLM in Law from Leiden University and completed studies at the College of Europe.
