Alexander Ip

Alexander Ip has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Alexander is currently the Co-founder and CEO of CERT Systems Inc, a position they have held since June 2019. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Toronto, where they held multiple roles, including Director of Research and Partnerships from February 2016 to August 2022, Research Operations Manager from July 2015 to February 2016, and PhD Candidate from August 2010 to July 2015. Before their time at the University of Toronto, Alexander worked as a Research Assistant at uOttawa from May 2009 to September 2009. Alexander also gained experience as an Electro-optics hardware design/development intern at Nortel Networks from May 2007 to July 2008 and as a Medical Physics Assistant at the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre from May 2006 to September 2006.

Alexander Ip earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Toronto. Alexander attended the University of Toronto from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Engineering Physics, with a Mechanical Engineering Stream, from Queen's University. Alexander attended Queen's University from 2004 to 2009.
