Mika Robertson's work experience begins in 2012 with an internship at Emmis Austin Radio as a MorningX Intern, where they edited podcasts and uploaded them to the website. In the same year, Mika worked at Bus Biscuit Records as an Assistant Administrator/Intern, promoting the label's artists and selling CDs at their shows.
In 2013, Mika served as a Stage Manager for SXSW Music at Townhouse, coordinating with different artist groups and ensuring smooth performances. They also worked at Pole to Win America, Inc. as a Video Game Tester, thoroughly testing games for functionality issues across multiple platforms.
Mika then joined LEGO Group as a Brick Specialist in 2012, assisting customers in finding the right LEGO sets and encouraging creativity in their purchases. They also had a role as a Stage Manager for Swan Dive Patio during SXSW 2014, managing artists' performances and coordinating venue logistics.
From 2013 to 2014, Mika worked as a Customer Support Representative at Pole to Win America, Inc., providing technical support for various games. They then joined Sony Online Entertainment in 2014 as a QA Tester, testing game content, documenting bugs, and training new testers.
Currently, Mika is employed at Certain Affinity since 2015, starting as a QA Tester for DOOM and later taking on roles as a Contract Sound Designer, Associate Sound Designer, and Sound Designer. Their responsibilities include bug testing, bug logging, and communicating with the development team to improve game functionality and design. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Sound Designer.
Mika Robertson completed their education at two institutions. In 2008, they attended Tulsa Community College, where they pursued an Associates of Arts degree in Liberal Arts until 2010. Following this, Mika enrolled at The Art Institutes from 2010 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Audio Production.
