Stephen Underwood

Stephen Underwood is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research, business development, and strategy. Currently serving as Manager of Research and Solutions Development at CertifyOS since August 2022, Stephen has held varying roles including Team Lead for Licensing and Strategy and Operations Consultant. Prior experience includes a role as Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Rochester, where Stephen completed 15 data analysis projects and conducted rigorous audits of statistical models. Stephen also contributed as a Research Assistant at New York University Abu Dhabi, managing research goals and preparing presentations for academic conferences. Earlier, as Founder and Managing Director of Blacksmith Coffee Company LLC, Stephen successfully raised $1.6 million to launch a specialty coffee company while ensuring rapid growth and sustainability. Stephen holds a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Arts from New York University Abu Dhabi.
