Michael Carruthers

Michael Carruthers has a robust background in operations and finance, currently serving as Operations Manager for Certispec Services Inc., overseeing the Caribbean inspection division since May 2015. Prior to this role, Michael worked as a Trader at World Trade Financial Group, employing a systematic, high-frequency trading strategy in the US equity markets from November 2011 to May 2015. Earlier experiences include serving as Associate Director in Market Data Services at UBS, where market data analysis was provided for investment banking divisions in London and New York, and IT Support Analyst roles at both UBS Warburg and British Gas. Michael began a career in sales as Sales Manager at SELCO Ltd, focusing on customer relationships and new business generation. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Sunderland and an MA in European Studies from the University of Reading, supplemented by language training in French studies at UQAM in 2010.
