May Lee has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to practice development, project management, and cultural transformation. May started their career at Southdown Housing Association in 1999 as a Communication Advisor, where they designed and facilitated tenant involvement approaches and created accessible materials. From 2003 to 2008, they worked at East Sussex County Council as an Information and Development Officer, supporting county-wide consultations and designing easy-read communications for the learning disability population. May then joined Southside Partnership as a Person Centred Services Manager from 2008 to 2013, focusing on developing person-centred reviews and approaches in service delivery and designing training programs. May Lee's most recent role at Certitude includes being a Transformational Change Programme Manager from 2013 to 2016, where they oversaw a large-scale organizational change project and tested new support and organizational processes. May then became the Personalisation Development Lead from 2016 to 2019, leading a team to deliver specialized expertise and develop organizational approaches to Personalisation. Currently, May Lee holds the position of Head of Practice Development at Certitude, where they are responsible for leading thought leadership in areas such as innovation approaches, change management methodologies, and conducting gap analysis for developing new service models.

May Lee attended the University of Brighton from 1990 to 1993, where they obtained a BA in Humanities with a focus on Philosophy. In 2013, they completed the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification at AMPG - International. Starting in an unspecified year, May Lee pursued Leadership and Management studies at the Institute of Leadership & Management, completing their education there in 2015.
