Sami Vaaraniemi has worked in the software engineering industry since 1994. Sami began their career as a Software Engineer at Nokia Research Center, then moved on to become a Software Developer at Cyber World Group in 2001. In 2007, they joined Microsoft and Skype as a Senior Software Development Engineer Lead. From 2013 to 2017, they worked as a Software Development Lead Manager, R&D at Criteo. Afterwards, they served as a Software Engineering Manager at Autonomous Intelligent Driving GmbH. In 2020, they joined Microsoft as an Engineering Manager and is currently working as Co-Founder and Chief Software Officer at Certivity.
Sami Vaaraniemi received a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki in 2000.
