Sierra E.

Sierra E. has a diverse work experience in the education and data analysis field. Sierra worked as a Data Analyst at CESA 6, where they organized and analyzed district state testing and school data projects, providing actionable insights for administrators and educators. Prior to that, they served as a Data Assistant at CESA 6, supporting the Director of Assessment, Data, and Accountability by cleaning and organizing state testing data and creating visualizations for data analysis.

Sierra also has a teaching background, having taught 7th grade math at Oconto Falls Public Schools from 2013 to 2022. Sierra emphasized Common Core math practice standards and 21st Century learning skills in their classroom, which had a 1:1 student-to-device ratio. Additionally, Sierra served as a Teacher Extern at Oconto Electric Cooperative in 2017, where they job shadowed employees and designed lesson plans to connect school and career opportunities.

Earlier in their career, Sierra worked as a High School Mathematics Teacher at the School District of Bonduel from 2011 to 2013, and as a Freshman Math Teacher at Menominee Indian School District from 2009 to 2011. In the latter role, they integrated culture, technology, and 21st-century learning skills into their lessons while maintaining high expectations for all students, especially in a rural, high-poverty setting with a predominantly Native American student population.

Sierra E. holds a Graduate Certificate in Data Science from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, which they obtained from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2004 to 2009, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education - Mathematics. In addition to their academic degrees, Sierra has obtained several certifications. In October 2019, they earned a Cybersecurity Badge from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Sierra also holds a Business Analytics certification from Springboard, obtained in June 2018. In September 2017, Sierra obtained a 1400 Mathematics certification for Early Adolescence/Adolescence from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Lastly, in August 2020, they became a Google Certified Educator Level 1 through Google for Education.
