Tim Bedford serves as the Vice President of CESAER and a member of its Board of Directors since 2015. Concurrently, Bedford holds the position of Associate Principal for Research and Innovation at the University of Strathclyde, actively collaborating with Principal and Vice Chancellor Sir Jim McDonald and other Executive colleagues to drive research and innovation initiatives. As a Professor of Risk and Decision Analysis at Strathclyde Business School, Bedford also previously served as Associate Deputy Principal for Knowledge Exchange and Research Enhancement, fostering collaboration with business and government sectors. Past roles include Chair of the Committee of Professors of Operational Research (COPIOR) and positions at Delft University of Technology and King’s College, Cambridge. Bedford’s academic journey began with a BSc (Hons), MSc, and PhD in Mathematics from the University of Warwick.
