Jillian Weitkamp

Jillian Weitkamp is a geospatial analyst who currently works for Cesium. Jillian has also worked for Temple University and Monticello Archaeology. Jillian has a degree in anthropology from the University of Virginia.

Jillian began their career in 2018 as a field archaeologist with Monticello Archaeology. There, they were responsible for excavating at Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello Plantation, cleaning and preserving artifacts, and mapping the site using GPS and total stations. In 2020, they began working as a geospatial analyst with Temple University. In this role, they processed remote sensing imagery, created supervised classification maps, and analyzed demographic data. Jillian is skilled in R code, ArcGIS, and QGIS.

Jillian Weitkamp holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology (Archaeology) from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, and a Master's Degree in Geographic Information Systems from Temple University.
