Dylan Pfeifer began their career in 2004 as a Software Engineer I at Legerity, Inc. In 2005, they moved to Polycom Inc as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on embedded videoconferencing systems. In 2008, they worked as a Design Engineer at Intel, where they authored IA32 microcode flows for floating point exception handlers and other CISC instructions on two Atom product generations. Dylan also worked as an Analog Design Coop at Texas Instruments in 2008. From 2014 to 2020, they worked at Power Standards Lab as a Software Engineer, where they worked on embedded Linux, DSP, and real-time embedded system firmware for utility industry power quality monitoring devices. Dylan also architected instrumentation software for a multi-board system, developed a custom build and automated test system, and architected system and network security features. In 2020, they moved to CesiumAstro as a Principal Software Engineer.
Dylan Pfeifer attended Yale University from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a BA in Music. Dylan then attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a B.S. in Mathematics. Dylan continued their education at The University of Texas at Austin from 2005 to 2008, earning an M.S.E.E. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Dylan concluded their education at The University of Texas at Austin from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
