Vit Kolar

Vit Kolar currently serves as the Ředitel komunikace at Kancelář prezidenta republiky since November 2023. With a robust background in communication and public relations, Kolar has been with Česká televize since January 2013, holding various leadership roles including Executive Director of Communication and External Relations, Head of GM's office and external relations, and Director of Corporate Affairs. With prior experience as Director of Press and Communication Dept at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs starting September 2010, Kolar was a spokesperson responsible for managing PR and communication strategies. Earlier roles include Consul General at the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Sydney from June 2006 to September 2010 and Director of the PR Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from January 2003 to June 2006. Kolar began a career in journalism at Czech Television from 1998 to 2003. Educationally, Kolar holds a Master's degree in Czech Language and Literature, Social Science, and Educational Psychology from Charles University in Prague.
