Paul Vanabelle

Paul Vanabelle serves as the Head of the Data Science Department at CETIC since July 2017, focusing on organizing research activities and transferring results to industry. Paul has played a crucial role in digital transformation initiatives for manufacturing companies, including specific support for Walloon biomanufacturing through the BioMan project. As an Expert Research Engineer, Paul leads data science projects in manufacturing and healthcare, emphasizing predictive maintenance and advanced analytics. Prior to CETIC, Paul worked as an R&D Engineer at Acapela Group, enhancing speech data processing, and as a Cardware Master Engineer at Worldline, where expertise in smartcard technology and cryptanalysis was developed. Paul holds multiple degrees and certifications in areas such as data science, advanced analytics, and electrical engineering.
