Luigi Barone began their career as a researcher at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering at the University of Naples and later at ENEA, the Italian National Agency for New Technologies. In 1992, they managed the CETMA project, which led to the establishment of CETMA in 1994, where they served as General Manager and later as President of the Scientific Technical Committee. Under their leadership, CETMA grew into one of Italy's largest private technological research centers, securing over 100 million euros for research projects and accumulating significant net worth. Additionally, they held contract professor roles at the University of Salento, teaching various courses in Engineering Management.
