Bobby Ledbetter taught agricultural courses for 31 years in Edinburg, TX, and he says being a teacher was his greatest accomplishment.
"His favorite thing about teaching was working with young people in various competitive events through the FFA," he said. "Before, during and after school the relationships between teacher and student became so fulfilling, he really cannot explain how important it was to me and my passion to teach."
Ledbetter grew up on a cotton farm with racing Quarter Horses. Through his teenage years, he worked in the fields, cotton gins and grain elevators, and later graduated with honors from Southwest Texas State University, then went on to receive a Master's in Agricultural Education from Texas A&M University.
After retirement, Ledbetter decided to join the iCEV team. He says that he is glad to have the chance to be connected with FFA and agricultural science teachers.
