Mike Chism

Territory Manager, AL at CEV Multimedia

As a young man growing up and working on a small family farm, Mike Chism, iCEV Curriculum Consultant, vividly remembers being taught the meaning of responsibility and hard labor.

Chism was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, AL, where he says he remembers his grandfather plowing the fields with a mule and recalls the excitement of their first John Deere. In high school, Chism was involved in 4-H, FFA, and Future Teachers of America and was active in sports. Upon graduating, he attended Auburn University where he received his bachelor’s degree in agronomy and soils. After working is sales, Chism wanted to pursue teaching which resulted in him pursuing a master’s degree in agricultural education and education instruction leadership.

Chism became certified and began his career in education. In his 20 years of experience, he has taught agriscience, horticulture, careers, and agricultural mechanics, and was a young farmer instructor. One of his favorite things about being a teacher was on the last day of school.
