John Sonsalla has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. John started their career as an intern at the United States House of Representatives and later worked as a Legislative Assistant at the Advanced Biofuels Association. After that, they joined ML Strategies as part of the Government Relations Team. John then moved on to Credit Suisse, where they worked in the Investment Banking & Capital Markets division. John also worked at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck as a Strategic Consulting Advisor, providing government relations and strategic advisory services. John pursued their MBA at The Wharton School while working as an MBA candidate. John then joined Credit Suisse again, this time in the Financial Sponsors Coverage Group, responsible for delivering leveraged finance, equity, and M&A services. Later, they joined Washington Analysis, where they took on the roles of Senior Vice President, Senior Financials & Housing Analyst, and Head of Strategy. Currently, they are the Head of Policy & Legal Research at CFRA Research.

John Sonsalla has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a double major in Finance and Business Economics and Public Policy from The Wharton School. John also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Political Science and Interdisciplinary Studies (Communications, Law, Economics, Government) from American University.

In terms of additional certifications, John has obtained the Series 79 certification from FINRA in August 2021.
