Christopher Moraff is a Research Fellow at The Center for Forensic Science Research & Education since January 2023. With extensive experience as a Journalist, Filmmaker, and Consultant for Narcomedia since January 2017, Christopher specializes in reporting on the overdose crisis, addiction, drug culture, and novel psychoactive substances. As a consultant, Christopher has worked with organizations such as the Philadelphia Department of Public Health and the Campaign of DA Larry Krasner on opioid policy. Additionally, Christopher serves as a Co-Host for the Narcotica Podcast since March 2018 and has been a Freelance Writer for The Daily Beast since January 2013, along with contributing to Al Jazeera America from January 2014 to April 2016. Christopher holds both a Master’s degree in Journalism and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Temple University.

The CFSRE conducts research, development, and new technology assessment, and delivers educational and training services for the forensic science community and beyond. Our educational programs include short-term placement for visiting scholars and researchers; partnerships to deliver degree programs at area universities; and continuing professional development for forensic scientists, law enforcement, and legal professionals.
