Andy Burston

Andy Burston is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in security and project management across various sectors. Currently serving as a Director at CGI since May 2018, Andy leads initiatives within the Central Government business unit and has previously worked as a Project Manager and Security Information Risk Advisor in the UK Space, Defence and Intelligence division. Prior to CGI, Andy was an IA & Security Specialist at Huntsman Security, focusing on cyber security for public sector clients. With a background as an Association Chief Police Officers-Terrorism & Allied Matters (ACPO TAM) security risk management expert, Andy contributed to significant UK IT programmes while serving as a police officer. Earlier roles included intelligence positions at the Metropolitan Police and Northamptonshire Police, where Andy supported national security objectives. Andy's career also includes a unique stint in the film and media industry, working on notable projects such as "Band of Brothers" and "Tomb Raider." Andy began professional life as a Royal Navy Officer following education at Alsager School.
