Marco de Friend

Marco de Friend is a CGI Partner and Director of Consulting Services, with a career that began after graduating as a Fachinformatiker specializing in system integration. They have extensive experience in the IT sector, focusing on quality assurance in hosting since 2004 and leading various QA teams nationally and internationally from 2011. In 2014, they oversaw a department integrating QA processes and KPIs, while also managing a test automation development team. Joining CGI in 2020 as an Executive Consultant, they became Director in 2021 and are involved in collaborations with VKSI and FH Karlsruhe, as well as managing strategic partnerships and overseeing the integration of applied research in AI and robotics at the Innovation Lab Karlsruhe. Additionally, they serve as a member of the industrial advisory board at Hochschule Furtwangen.
