Tom Willems is a seasoned Radio Navigation Engineer with extensive experience in GNSS R&D since 1998. They earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Ghent University in 2006, focusing on algorithms for regional GPS augmentation systems. Tom held significant roles at Septentrio, including Senior GNSS Engineer and Principal Baseband Engineer for the Galileo IOV TUR receivers, and later served as an Expert System Engineer Navigation at Antwerp Space. Currently, Tom is a postdoctoral researcher at the GAUSS Research Foundation and a Senior Consultant at CGI, advising the European Commission DG DEFIS. Additionally, Tom actively participates in various navigation institutes and committees.
