Ville Suvanto

Ville Suvanto serves as the Head of Data & AI and Vice President at CGI since December 2017, with additional roles including Acting VP for Data Science & Products and Director of Consulting Services. Prior to this, Ville held the position of Head of Data Science at BIGDATAPUMP from September 2015 to November 2017, where responsibilities included hands-on projects in data science and cloud architecture, team building, presales, and internal competence development. Ville also has experience as a data science consultant and served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Oulu. Earlier experience includes an internship at the Government Institute for Economic Research, where a research project on Finland's 2005 pension reform was conducted. Ville holds an A.M. in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master's in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Oulu.
