Waqas Sohail

Waqas Sohail is a seasoned professional in cyber security, currently serving as a Senior Cyber Security Analyst at CGI since March 2020. Previous positions at CGI included roles as a Cyber Security Analyst at various levels, including SOC Level 1, Level 2, and Shift Lead. Prior to CGI, Waqas worked at NTT DATA Services from April 2015 to June 2019, where responsibilities included overseeing the Security Operation Centre as a Shift Lead and conducting security analysis as an IT Security Analyst, utilizing various tools for real-time threat detection and response. Waqas holds a Master’s degree in Internetworking from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Management and Technology. Additionally, Waqas is set to enhance expertise in cyber security through a program at the Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst at Toronto Metropolitan University from June to August 2024.
