Ian Moore is the current President at Canadian Geotechnical Society. Ian has also been a Professor at Western University and Lecturer/Senior Lecturer at University of Newcastle.
Ian Moore has been dedicated to their field of geotechnical engineering for many years. Ian started their career as a lecturer at the University of Newcastle in 1983. Ian then became a professor at Western University in 1991 and eventually the Associate Dean and Acting Dean. In 2001, they left academia to pursue a career in industry, becoming the President of Canadian Geotechnical Society. Under their leadership, the organization has flourished and made many significant contributions to the field of geotechnical engineering.
Ian Moore was educated at the University of Sydney, where they received a BE in Civil Engineering and a PhD in the same field.
