Over a 44-year span, Larry has had two long and distinguished career paths. One of Investment Banking and Finance covering 25+ years working for two of the largest Investment Banking firms in the U.S. (Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley). During that time, Larry lead or participated in hundreds of public and private financial transactions, including a substantial number of IPO’s and a broad range of domestic and international debt and equity financing for all sizes and types of corporations.
Larry’s second career has been as a private company investor, individual share owner, and active Board of Directors Member (mostly as Chairman or as Head of Audit Committee) for a series of young, innovative start-ups around the Country. He founded his own private investment firm called Howell Capital, to make investments in early to late-stage innovation technologies and consumer-facing companies.
He also currently serves or has served as Chairman of the Board/Board Member/Advisor for multiple companies in areas as diverse as asset management, predictive software, and sustainable packaging.
