Chaak Design was born not just from a passion for design, but from a purpose rooted in empathy, tradition, and resilience.

In 2020, when the world came to a halt during the pandemic, I visited a small town near Lucknow and saw firsthand how many women artisans — especially those skilled in Chikankari embroidery — were struggling to survive. With no access to markets and rising competition, their income had stopped. Around the same time, I learned that women from my own ancestral village near Etah had abandoned their beautiful date-leaf craft because they could no longer sell their products.

That’s when I knew — I had to do something.

As a NIFT alumna, I combined my design education with my belief in social responsibility, and founded Chaak Design — named after the humble potter’s wheel or charkha, symbolizing slow, mindful, handcrafted creation.

Today, Chaak Design is a woman-led, artisan-powered brand that creates luxurious marble home décor, handcrafted gifting hampers, and sustainable lifestyle products, all while empowering women and rural artisans across India.

We work hand-in-hand with craftspeople who have inherited generations of skill — in marble carving, textile craft, natural weaving, and more — to create pieces that blend modern aesthetics with traditional soul.

Our mission is simple:

To revive lost crafts by providing market access and product innovation

To empower women artisans with fair employment and dignity of work

To create handcrafted luxury that feels deeply personal and proudly Indian

Whether you're looking for custom wedding hampers, corporate gifts, or meaningful handmade décor — you're not just buying a product. You’re becoming part of a movement that supports craft, community, and conscious living.
