Albert Llimós

Lead Smart Contract Blockchain Engineer at Chainflip

Albert Llimós has worked in the technology industry since 2017. Albert began their career as an FPGA Developer at Ericsson, where they were responsible for RTL design, synthesis, and verification at IP and top level. Albert also implemented the clock and reset structure used across the design, developed and maintained scripts to run the Xilinx Tool flow, and stored files using a revision control system. In addition, they were a Top Level Integrator in one of the world's first 5G Radio projects.

In 2020, Albert moved to Silicom Denmark A/S | FPGA Solutions (formerly Fiberblaze) as an FPGA Developer, where they worked on the development of 5G solutions within the telecommunications industry. Albert was the main engineer in the project, and their role was very broad, encompassing all stages of the Digital design flow.

In 2021, Albert worked as a Smart Contract Developer, where they developed a Constant Product Market Maker (CPMM) as part of a stable coin protocol. Albert'swork consisted of implementing virtual reserves on top of a Balancer-inspired AMM.

Currently, Albert is a Lead Smart Contract Blockchain Engineer at Chainflip UG. Albert'srole entails taking ownership of all the smart contract architecture, design and implementation, as well as designing and architecting the interface between the smart contracts and the rest of the Chainflip system. Albert is also responsible for the development of smart contracts to enable the cross-chain swapping, token staking, and the vault functionality.

Albert Llimós completed a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2014. Albert then pursued a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics from the same university, which they completed in 2016. In the same year, they also completed a Master's thesis (Exchange program) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Lund University.
