James Rawlings

James Rawlings has had a long and varied career in software engineering. James began their career in 2001 as a J2EE Developer at Legal & General, then moved to Logica in 2007 as a Contract - Senior J2EE Developer. In 2009, they became a Senior J2EE Developer at Target Financial Services, then a Senior Software Engineer at CASSIDIAN in 2010. From 2011 to 2013, they held roles as a Software Architecture & Development Lead and Technical Architect at Monitise. James then moved to Red Hat, where they held four roles from 2013 to 2018, including Senior Principal Software Engineer and Principal Software Engineer. In 2021, they became a Technical Lead at VMware Tanzu, and in 2022 they took on the role of Software Engineer at Chainguard, Inc.

James Rawlings graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2014 with a degree in Political Science. James then attended the London School of Economics, where they received their Master's degree in International Relations in 2016.
