Stephen Augustus

Stephen Augustus is a seasoned technical architect currently serving in the Office of the CTO at Bloomberg since January 2025. Stephen also holds multiple advisory and leadership roles, including positions on the Technical Advisory Council, OpenSSF Scorecard Steering Committee, and Governing Board at OpenSSF since July 2022. As a member of the Kubernetes Steering Committee and SIG Release Chair since November 2018, Stephen contributes significantly to the development of open-source projects. Additional roles include Steering Committee Member for the TODO (OSPO) Group since January 2024 and Advisory Board Member at Edera since August 2024. Stephen is an angel and seed investor in various companies, including CarriedAI and Chainguard, Inc., and played a pivotal role in developing Cisco's open-source strategy as Head of Open Source and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Outshift by Cisco from April 2021 to November 2024.
