Welcome to the LinkedIn webpage of the  Chair for Reliability Engineering! The Chair was founded in February 2022 and is headed by Prof. Dr. Matthias Faes.

The research at the chair revolves in essence around the question "How can we design structures and components that are safe, reliable and economic, even when we don't have all required information to do so". To tackle this question, developments are made in the fields of structural reliability, uncertainty quantification, risk analysis and machine learning under scarce data.
