Since 1670, the Gruet family has been present in the heart of the Côte des Bar, as evidenced by the eponymous localities “Bas-Gruet” and “Sur-Gruet“.
Claude Gruet produced his first cuvées in 1975 with a volume of 2,500 bottles. Vinegrower accomplished, he operates with passion terroir of quality in the heart of the vineyards classified Unesco World Heritage Site, between hills and valleys.
Since then, he has continued to develop its production facilities to reach a volume of 500,000 bottles in 2002. Rejoined by his son Pierre-Charles in 2008, the volume rose then 1 million bottles. In 2012, the quest for excellence continued thanks to the IFS FOOD certification. When his daughter in law,  Mathilde, integrates turn the company in 2014 , it is a volume of 3 million bottles that is exported each year. Those artists have developed the champagne quality and the unique style, witness a perfect balance between expertise tradition and modernity.
In the shade of their cellars, the champagne cuvées are prepared patiently. Cutting-edge human and technical resources make it possible to sublimate the grape varieties, while respecting tradition and the Champagne method to meet substantial volume needs while guaranteeing excellence in quality. 
Today, Champagne Gruet unveils a wide range of champagne regularly awarded by the best guides and international competitions, for their quality . From classic cuvées, through vintages and blanc de blancs, with large volumes available, to special and intimate cuvées from rare grape varieties such as Pinot Blanc and Arbane, their champagnes will seduce and satisfy those looking for quality and excellence.
