John Rasmussen

John Rasmussen is an experienced film educator and director with a career spanning multiple institutions and roles in film production and teaching. As the Film Program Director and Assistant Professor at Champlain College from August 2022 to July 2023, John contributed to the Visual and Performing Arts curriculum. Previous positions include Associate Professor and Film Program Director at Miami International University of Art and Design and Adjunct Professor roles at various universities, including Lynn University and the University of Miami. Additionally, John has been involved in film production as the Director and Producer at An Idiot with Scissors Productions since 2004. Academic qualifications include an MFA in Film from the University of Miami and a BA in History and Spanish from the University of Iowa.
