Stephen Robinson

Director and Professor

Stephen Robinson is a British-born, Canadian-raised environmental geoscientist who currently serves as Director and Professor at Champlain College's Dublin Campus in Ireland. They have a passion for teaching, study abroad, and climate action, and they specialize in areas such as peatland dynamics and carbon sequestration, permafrost dynamics, and glaciology. Previously, Stephen held the position of Chapin Associate Professor of Geology at St Lawrence University and worked as a Physical Scientist at the Geological Survey of Canada. Stephen earned a PhD in Physical Geography from McGill University, as well as degrees from the University of Waterloo and Queen's University. They also contribute to the field of international education as a co-founder of the European Association for Study Abroad and serve on the Board of Directors for several organizations in the domain.
