The (C)hallenging (H)ealth inequity in (A)dolescents and (N)urturing (G)lobal (E)mpowerment, or CHANGE, Lab at Northeastern University was founded by Dr. Idia B. Thurston. The CHANGE Lab Butterflies aim to research:

1. Adolescents and their families
2. Multilevel risk and protective factors contributing to health inequities
3. Community engaged and responsive methods

Through engagement of community-academic partnerships, the CHANGE Lab at Northeastern University strives to asses, co-develop, and disseminate health equity science, programs, and policy that will positively support adolescents (and their families) of the community. 

In order to accomplish this mission, the CHANGE Lab has four active projects that focus on structural, community, and individual factors: Community Partner’s Assessment, Project THRIVE , IDEAS, and the Youth Advisory Board. To learn more about each project, check out our website!
