Brian B. has extensive work experience in the field of information security. Brian started their career at BBC Worldwide as a Desktop Manager in 1998 and later worked as a Senior Desktop Developer at BBC Technology. In 2005, they joined Siemens/BBC as a Technical Design Authority, responsible for client devices and ensuring the desktop operating system met the requirements of 28,000 staff. Brian returned to BBC as an Information Security Manager in 2007 and subsequently became the Head of Information Security. In these roles, they led the information security team, enhanced policy frameworks and security measures, and played a vital role in strategic decision-making. Brian also worked at Channel 4 as the Chief Information Security Officer from 2011, where they led the company's journey towards ISO 27001 accreditation, implemented robust cybersecurity frameworks, and integrated cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies. In addition to their roles at BBC and Channel 4, Brian worked as an Advisory Board Member at HotTopics.ht and an Advisor at CXO Portals.

Brian B. attended Bishops Stortford High School from 1986 to 1996, where they studied a range of subjects including English, Math, Religion, Sciences, History, Geography, Computer Studies, Music, and Business Studies. Prior to that, from 1981 to 1986, they attended Richard Whittington JMI, where they studied various subjects. In 2022, Brian obtained the Leadership Foundations certification from LinkedIn.
