Jon Fairman currently serves as Duty Editor at Channel 4, a position held since May 2022. Previously, Jon worked at Redbee Media as Senior Playout Director for BT Sport from September 2018 to May 2022, and held the role of Senior Playout Director for Channel 4 at Ericsson from December 2013 to May 2022. Jon's career also includes significant experience at Red Bee Media as Playout Director for Channel 4 between February 2009 and May 2022, as well as Network Director and Presentation Assistant at Channel 4 from February 2000 to January 2009. Earlier in Jon’s career, a role as Honours Coordinator took place at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture from January 1998 to December 1999. Jon completed a BA in Media Practices and Communication and Media Studies at the University of Bedfordshire, graduating in 1998, and attended Great Baddow Comprehensive from 1985 to 1990.
