Michael O'Brien has extensive work experience in various roles and companies.

From 2014 to 2016, they were the Director of Probrien Pty Ltd, providing Higher Education Consultancy services to institutions in the United Arab Emirates, India, and Australia.

In 2015, they joined Chaosium as the Vice President and became a Co-Owner at Moon Design LLC.

Michael O'Brien began their education at the University of Melbourne in 1989 and completed their Bachelor's Degree in Education (Primary) in 1991. In 1995, they pursued a Master's Degree in Educational Studies (Educational Computing) at Monash University, which they completed in 1997. Prior to these higher degrees, Michael acquired a Diploma of Teaching (Primary) from Melbourne College of Advanced Education between 1985 and 1987.
