Suraphel

Suraphel is currently a designer at Chapa, but they have a long and varied work history that has given him a wealth of experience to draw upon in their current role. Suraphel was previously a co-founder at Digital Addis from October 2018 to January 2022, and before that they were the Head of Engineering Department at Energy Zone importer from July 2018 to October 2020. In this role, they were responsible for preparing full tender documents on different electromechanical equipment’s like generator and pumps for bidding projects. Suraphel also examined and reviewed technical specifications of Generator, pumps and other electromechanical equipment. Suraphel has also worked as a tender specialist at TBO printing and publishing S.C from June 2016 to August 2016, where they were responsible for examining and evaluating the require technical specification of a bidding project. Prior to that, they worked as an installation technician at Sisay and Abrham Building Installation work P/S from June 2015 to August 2015. Suraphel’s wealth of experience in different roles has give him a unique perspective that they bring to their current role as a designer at Chapa.

Suraphel has a Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering from Hawassa University, as well as a high school diploma in Natural Sciences from Don Bosco Catholic High school. They also have various certifications in social media strategy, innovation, and marketing from Alison, the Ethiopian Higher Education Institute Students Union, Hawassa University, HubSpot Academy, and Google. Finally, they also have a driving license and a certificate for design professionals from the FDRE Ministry of Transport and the FDRE Ministry of Construction, respectively.
