Ryan Vilim

Ryan Vilim is a seasoned professional in data science and machine learning, currently serving as a Member of the Technical Staff at Character.AI since December 2023. Prior to this role, Ryan held several key positions at Bowery Farming, including Senior Director and Director of Machine Learning and Data Platform, where responsibilities included leading machine learning and data services functions. Ryan's experience also includes a tenure as a Senior Data Scientist at USA for UNHCR and a Software Engineer at Sidewalk Labs, where Ryan focused on machine learning applications for energy efficiency and generative design. Ryan began a career in data science at Axon Vibe, contributing to location-based behavioral prediction applications. Ryan holds a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Toronto.
