Ian Samson

Ian Samson is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in real estate finance and commercial banking. Currently serving as Vice President of Real Estate Finance at Chard Development Ltd. since January 2022, Ian manages the senior debt portfolio and secures strategic bank debt for development projects. Previously, Ian held roles such as Interim Director of Finance at Wesgroup Properties and Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking at Coast Capital Savings, where leadership and strategic direction were key responsibilities. Ian’s background includes substantial experience in debt financing during market disruptions and a significant tenure at HSBC Bank Canada, managing commercial lenders and high-profile loan portfolios. Ian holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from the University of Manitoba.
