Max Stepanov

Max Stepanov's work experience begins in 1999 with their role as a System Administrator and user support at Classnet Ltd. Max then worked at SeeRun Ltd. as a Unix System Administrator from February 2000 to September 2001, where they were responsible for the deployment and support of all IT infrastructure.

From 2001 to 2002, Stepanov joined Check Point Ltd. as a member of the QA VPN team, where they discovered and verified faults in Check Point Firewall-1/VPN-1 software.

In 2004, Stepanov joined I.M. Intermedia Ltd. as a Unix System Administrator and Software Developer. Max managed all IT infrastructure and datacenter servers and developed various applications using PHP and Ruby.

From 2008 to 2010, Stepanov worked at The Nation Traffic as a System Administrator. Max developed a deployment solution for PHP projects and managed approximately 150 Linux/BSD servers.

From 2011 to 2015, Stepanov worked as a Freelance DevOps Engineer, and from 2014 to 2018, they were involved in multiple roles at Playtech. Max was the BI Dev Team Lead from May 2014 to October 2021, the BI DevOps Team Lead/BI Architect from 2018 to May 2021, and the Infra/BI tech team lead, where they built and supported an Openstack based private cloud and migrated data platforms.

In 2021, Stepanov joined Avo as a DevOps Engineer, where they worked until May 2022. Currently, they are working at ChargeAfter as the DevOps Lead since July 2022.

Max Stepanov attended Voljsky High School #6 from 1985 to 1995. Max did not obtain a degree or study any specific field during their time there. From 1995 to 1997, Max Stepanov pursued a degree in Computer Science at Technical Jobs in Russia, but unfortunately, they did not complete the program.
