Anne Smart

Anne Smart has had an extensive career in the field of energy and environmental policy. Anne served as Vice President of Global Public Policy at ChargePoint, Inc. from December 2016 onwards. Prior to that, they held the role of Director of Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs at ChargePoint, Inc. from July 2014 to December 2016. Before joining ChargePoint, Inc., they worked as the Executive Director at The Alliance for Solar Choice from May 2013 to July 2014. Anne also has experience in advocacy and policy development through their roles at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, where they were the Director of Energy from March 2011 to May 2013, and the Associate Director of Energy and Environment from August 2009 to March 2011. Anne'scareer began with a fellowship at the Delaware State Senate in the Senate Energy and Transit Committee from January 2009 to June 2009. Anne has also held research associate positions at the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy and the Resource Renewal Institute. Anne gained experience in government affairs through an internship with the American Geological Institute and as an intern for U.S. Representative Wayne Gilchrest. Anne Smart attended the University of Delaware from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained a Master of Energy and Environmental Policy. During their time at the university, their field of study focused on Energy Policy and Environmental Policy. Prior to that, Anne attended Miami University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a B.A. degree. Anne'sfield of study at Miami University consisted of Public Administration and Environmental Studies.
