Charlton Toy Library is a small local charity supporting families with children under 5 across the Borough of Greenwich.

Founded in 1982 by a group of local parents, we offer affordable, inclusive services that help young children play, learn, and thrive.

Based at Langhorne House in Charlton, we run friendly stay-and-play sessions, loan a wide range of toys, books, and baby equipment, and deliver targeted outreach support for families who need it most. Our stay-and-play sessions include singing, storytelling, sensory play and a welcoming space for children and carers alike.

We’re run by a dedicated voluntary board of trustees - including current and former Toy Library members - and rely on grants and donations to continue our work.

Open during term-time:
Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and one Saturday each month (9.30am – 12.30pm)
