David Baird

David Baird PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of environment health and safety (EHS). David is currently serving as the Vice President of Environment Health Safety at Chart Industries, Inc. since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Howden as the Global EHS Leader from May 2018 to May 2023. From 2010 to 2018, they held the position of SHE Director at Weir Group, Flow Control Division. David also has experience as the Group HSE Manager at Stewart Milne from January 2006 to July 2010. Before that, they served as the Corporate HS Manager at Scottish Environment Protection Agency from 2002 to 2006 and as the EHS Advisor at Gates Corporation from 1998 to 2002.

David Baird PhD holds a Master's degree in Safety and Environment from the University of the West of Scotland, which they obtained from 1994 to 1995. David also has a PhD in Management Systems and Organizational Culture from Aston University.
