James Phillips

James Phillips is an experienced learning and development professional with a diverse background in creating and enhancing educational programs across various industries. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Learning at Chartwell Retirement Residences since January 2019, James previously held multiple leadership roles at Canadian Tire Corporation, where responsibilities included managing learning ecosystems and delivering training across the enterprise. Prior experience includes positions at Sears Canada, where James designed cost-effective blended learning solutions, and Allied Global Holdings Inc., overseeing training functions during significant company expansion. James holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and has completed a Secondary Professional Year in Teaching from The University of British Columbia.
