Scott Johnson

Scott Johnson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in journalism and research. Currently serving as Vice President at Chartwell, Inc. since August 2006, Scott has progressed through roles including Senior Director of Research, Director of Research, and Senior Research Analyst. Prior to Chartwell, Scott contributed to The State for nearly 18 years, holding key positions such as Executive Business Editor, Online Director, and Assignment Editor. Scott began a career in journalism at The State and other newspapers from 1982 to 1988 as a Staff Writer. Academically, Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Ohio University and a Master's degree in Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina.
