Robert Praino

Robert Praino has extensive experience in various leadership roles in the technology and materials industry. Robert is currently the Chief Innovation Officer & Co-Founder of CHASM Advanced Materials since 2016. Prior to that, they co-founded Chasm Technologies, Inc. in 2005, where they worked with technology-driven companies to develop new products using nano-scale materials and scalable coating technologies.

Before Chasm Technologies, Inc., Praino served as the VP of Manufacturing at Precision Lithograining from 2003 to 2004. Robert was also the VP of Operations at Vitex Systems from 2001 to 2003, where they focused on designing and implementing production-scale "ultra-barrier" process technology.

Praino's career also includes a position as the Director of Product Development at Presstek from 1997 to 2001. Robert started their professional journey at Polaroid Corp in 1977, where they served as the Plant Manager for over 20 years before moving on to other roles.

Throughout their career, Praino has demonstrated expertise in product development, manufacturing scale-up, product commercialization, business strategy, and intellectual property strategic rationalization.

Robert Praino has an MBA in the Implementation of Strategy from Boston University. Robert also holds a BS/MS degree in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
