Rick "Tricky" Harrison has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Rick "Tricky" started their career in 2001 as a Developer at Shopcreator, where they worked on developing the e-commerce platform using various technologies. Rick "Tricky" then moved on to roles as a Software Developer at Wanadoo UK plc and Freeserve / Wanadoo. In 2005, they became a Senior Analyst at Shopcreator.com, where they provided consultancy and developed and re-engineered parts of the bespoke ecommerce engine. From 2007 to 2011, Harrison worked as a Senior Web Developer at AWA, specializing in back-end development and jQuery/JavaScript. Rick "Tricky" also freelanced as a PHP Developer at GatenbySanderson during this time. In 2011, they returned to GatenbySanderson as the Head of Development, leading a team of developers and creating various applications. In 2012, Harrison took on freelance work as a creative web/experiential developer for several creative and PR agencies. Finally, in 2018, they joined Chatter Communications as the Head of Digital & Web Development, where they led the Digital team in creating award-winning careers websites and web-based products. Throughout their career, Harrison also pursued their passion for photography, working as a freelance photographer and licensing their photos for tourism marketing.

From 1993 to 1998, Rick "Tricky" Harrison attended Leeds Beckett University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Computing.
