Ben Smith

Ben Smith has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Ben started their career as a Freelance Web Designer/Developer in 1999, where they built over 100 websites for different businesses. In 2002, they worked as a Senior Web Developer & IT Engineer at Intrasat Telecomunicaciones S.A., where they used satellite internet to reach customers in rural areas. Ben then co-founded Fonetica Telecomunicaciones S.A. in 2004, pioneering wireless internet services and VOIP technology. Ben also co-founded Slovakia Peaks s.r.o., where they served as the Co-founder & Technical Marketing Specialist. In 2009, Ben founded YamYam.mobi, a platform that aimed to find the closest restaurants using location technology. In 2012, they joined Cocinas Plus as the Director of IT and Marketing. Currently, Ben is the CEO & Co-Founder of Check-in Scan since November 2017. Alongside their professional experience, Ben also worked as an Intensive Care Senior Nurse and held various nursing roles in the NHS.

Ben Smith attended the University of Brighton from 1994 to 1996, where they obtained a 3 year Diploma in Adult Health Nurse/Nursing.
