Mateo Rojas

Mateo Rojas is currently the Head of Research in AI Agent Security at Check Point Software and serves as the Founder and Chief Scientist at Lakera. They have built a career in cutting-edge technology, having previously worked as a Software Engineer at Google and as a Quant at Credit Suisse. Mateo earned a PhD in Machine Learning from the University of Cambridge and the Max Planck Institute, focusing on transfer learning and causality. Their research experience includes positions at the Max Planck Society and Facebook, where they built innovative systems in deep learning and microbiome science. Additionally, Mateo holds a Master's in Advanced Study in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge and an Engineering degree from Ecole des Ponts ParisTech.
